INVITATION FOR BIDS

 

            Sealed bids for the NIMISHILLEN TOWNSHIP 2025 PAVING/ROADWAY PROJECT will be received at the Nimishillen Township Administrative  Office, 4915 N. Nickelplate, Louisville, Ohio 44641, until 3:00 PM on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 and will be publicly opened and read on Thursday, June 12, 2025 after 7:00 P.M. Bid envelopes shall be marked:

 

“2025 PAVING/ROADWAY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT”

                       

            On and after May 14, 2025, copies of specifications and bid forms may be obtained from the Nimishillen Township Administrative  Office, 4915 N. Nickelplate, Louisville, Ohio 44641. (Phone 330-875-9924 or Office@Nimishillentownship.com.

            Each bid shall be accompanied by a proper certificate by corporations not chartered in Ohio, testifying that such corporation is authorized to do business in Ohio. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the form of (1) a certified check, or cashier's check, or letter of credit, equal to 10% of the bid, or (2) a bid guaranty bond for the full amount of the bid; both forms of guaranties as provided in Chapter 153 of the Ohio Revised Code and in the project specifications.

            Each bid shall be in conformity with the Ohio Revised Code and all bids and certificates shall be upon the forms furnished with the specifications. All bid proposals shall be delivered to the office of the Nimishillen Township Fiscal Office at or prior to the date and hour specified for receiving bids.

            Work shall be subject to the prevailing wage rates established by the Ohio Department of Industrial Relations and work performed in accordance with ODOT Specifications.

Each bidder must insure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex or national origin.

            Work shall not begin prior to authorization in writing by the Board of Nimishillen Township Trustees.

Work shall be completed within Thirty (30) Calendar Days of receiving the written Notice To Proceed from the Board of Nimishillen Township Trustees.

            The Nimishillen Township Trustees reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to decrease or omit any item or items, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to accept any bid or combination of bids which is deemed most favorable to the Township at the time and under the conditions stipulated.

The Board of Nimishillen Township Trustees further declare that they will award the contract for this project to the lowest and best bid, which may not necessarily be the lowest bid. The Specifications contain a Bidder’s Profile and Best Bid Criteria designed to gather certain information that may be considered in this regard. No single factor will control the Board’s decision to award, and the Board reserves the right to exercise its full discretion.
